TAUNTON VALE POLO

Welcome to Taunton Vale Polo Club, a club for experienced players and beginners alike.

For the seasoned player,  we offer prestigious tournaments playing for trophies with amazing heritages. Some go back over a hundred years!

For those new to polo, there are lessons, “have a go days”, and introductory chukkas.

All are welcome - and you don’t need your own ponies to be able to play. We have an extensive pool of polo ponies available to hire for lessons, chukkas, and tournaments.

We’re one of the oldest polo clubs in the country. Our thatched clubhouse was built back in 1911 when the club began. It provides a wonderful timeless ethos, food, and a licensed bar.

There’s no entrance fee for spectators*. Just come along and enjoy a great day of polo in a beautiful setting.

TOURNAMENTS

Tournaments are played most weekends from May to September. Some go back over a hundred years.

Oldest and most prestigious is the Houldsworth Trophy, played for since 1906!

Others include the Royal Aden Cup (1954).

And the enormous Jellalabad Cup.
